Mission
To bring people together to make Greater Dundalk a better place. Through innovative, community-driven initiatives and programs, we are committed to fostering a healthy, vibrant, and diverse community that thrives on collaboration, investment, and long-term impact, creating a legacy of opportunity, prosperity, and resilience for all who call Dundalk home.
Main Street & Supporting Small Business
-We will connect existing businesses and potential entrepreneurs to resources, training and mentorships
-We will re-establishing the Main Street program for the Old Dundalk Shopping Center
-We will support current and prospective small Dundalk businesses through various events and activities
Community Events
-We will develop and host events throughout the year to enhance community connections
-We will create safe spaces where the community can gather, encouraging social cohesion, boosting economic activity and potentially reducing crime by creating more vibrant street life
-We will hold periodic community meetings to provide additional opportunities to inform the community of GDCDO’s activities and obtain feedback.
Housing Support & Assistance
-We will work with the local real estate and financial community to support home ownership opportunities
-We will attempt to connect existing homeowners, including the underserved, with maintenance and repair services
Community Beautification & Environmental Improvements
-We will implement projects to improve our community’s physical appearance
-We will also implement projects that enhance our community’s natural environment, including our parks and miles of waterfront
